POP3 email notification / IMAPIAdviseSink - OnNotify

Hi,

have a problem with mail notification and MAPI profiles.

I was using WIN NT 4 and Exchange 5.5 on the old server.

Now I was upgrading HW and I installed WIN2K3 and I'm using
the integrated POP3 service with is enough for my needs.

Everything is fine, but I'm missing the IMAPIAdviseSink
contained a single method OnNotify. It looks like this is
no longer working?!?

I have a integrated service that waits for this call and
starts the download of all new mails.

Now my service is not starting, because there is no
notification.

Is there a difference between exchange and the POP3
service handle incoming mail?

If Outlook is running there is no such problem and my
service can fetch the new messages.

But I will not have Outlook open on my application
server....

Any idea?

I have a similar kind of problem. I am not getting any notifications for IMapiAdviceSink::OnNotify methods from outlook 2007 when any profile contains a cached mode/pop3 account enabled for its mailbox. Can you please let me know why is this problem occuring and what is the work around for the same. Thanks in advance
