POP3 authentication

Our Exchange 2003 got a problem on POP3 authentication. User has to key
"domain name\" before his "username" for POP3 receiving mail. Please help me
to change the Exchange Server 2003 setup to ignore the "domain name\",

Looks like an server (Exchange) question instead of a client question.
It is the server that is rejecting authentication. You might gets some
responses here but you will find a community more focused on Exchange
setup and issues in the microsoft.public.exchange.* groups.
