POP3 and SMTP

D

Dr Jason Barron

I have installed Outlook from my Office 2000. However, I
can not get the correct POP3 and SMTP address for the e-
mail. I had no trouble with my accounts with Verizon or
others. Like with Verizon the POP3 is just entered with
incoming.verizon.net. I have looked on the MSN site and
the Microsoft site and I can not find anything that will
help me so I can get my e-mail. When I was using the
Outlook Express all I had to do was enter an
http://.......... and that was all I needed. However,
now that I am using Outlook 2000 I need both the POP3 and
SMTP. Can anyone please tell me what the settings should
be so I can get my e-mail? You can reply to this or send
a reply to (e-mail address removed) since I can still
get some of my e-mail there.

Thank you all for your help,
Dr Jason S Barron

Wrong.......Outlook 2000 DOES support my MSN account.
Use "pop3.email.msn.com" for incoming mail and set the
port to "110".
Use "smtp.email.msn.com" for outgoing mail and set the
port to "25".

Only if you have not "upgraded."

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer, (e-mail address removed)
asked:
