POP3 accounts with Windows Mail

Have 2 email accounts configured on Windows Mail which were perfectly working
until last week. After reading at least 50 cases, decided to uninstall Norton
and install Avast. Even after that I continue to get the following messages:

Account: 'CorpXcoach', Server: 'corpxcoach.com', Protocol: POP3, Server
Response: '-ERR Login failed.', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error:
0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92 (this account always ask for username
and password)

and

The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'test', Account: 'UOL',
Server: 'smtps.uol.com.br', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket
Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E (this is the default account thru
which I'm trying to send a test email)

So, how can I have my emails back to work with Windows Mail ?

Thanks!

While you had Norton installed, it probably corrupted those accounts.
Delete the accounts, restart Windows Mail, then recreate the accounts.

Also, make sure that when you installed Avast you used the custom install
which allows you to forego installing the email scanning module.
