Nick

I posted an earlier one here entitled "pop-ups", and I
forgot to put my e-mail. I think I may have found the
file in C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\Connection
Wizard ... Everytime I try to delete these they re-copy
themselves to the same place. I think I may be able to
turn off system recall to delete them, but other than
that I think it's a virus. I don't have any virus
protection, but I did scan several times with Trend Micro
Free Online Scan. Unless this is an old or new virus or
just a bug and not a virus at all. I hope somebody could
help me out, because everytime I open Internet Explorer
the same pop-ups appear on sites that didn't before I
downloaded this file (my other post says more on that)
and in Internet Explorer, if I leave it for too long or
let the pop-ups build up, the browser crashes. Please
help me out here.

Thanks
Nick

Typically it's not a virus. It's called Ad-Ware. The best
way I've seen to get rid of them is to use AdAware. It's
free and can be downloaded from http://www.lavasoft.de
Don't forget to run the update first before you let it scan.

Hey Garrett,
Thanks man, it worked perfectly. Eventually I would have
gotten it myself...yeah right... thanks a bunch. There
was a total of 80 objects on my Computer. 80?! Jeez I
didn't know there were that many, the place where I
suspected the pop-ups originated from (C:\Program
Files\Internet Explorer\) was a hot-spot. Thanks a lot.

Truly thankful,
Nick
