Try running ad aware to remove any adware you
have on your computer

But if these popups are the ones which say 'messenger service' in the title
bar what you will need to do is either install a firewall on your system, or
disable the messenger service on your computer (independant of the Windows
Messenger and MSN Messenger programs).
To turn off the messenger service, goto Start > Run and enter services.msc
Now scroll down the service list until you find 'messenger' and double click
on it. Change the startup type to disabled and click the stop button.
If it does not sound like anything I have said above and ad aware is no
help, what does it look like?
