pop-ups

Recently I began receiving pop up messages constantly even
when I am off line. Is there a way within windows to stop
these messages? I am running windows 2000 Professional
and believe I have all of the latest upgrades and service
packs. I am connected to a cable modem and am using
Norton antivirus and firewall.

What the pop up messg about? Any specific meesg? Are you
using any of the popular IMs (ICQ, MSN, Yahoo) Revert
with details and will guide u thru.
