Pop-ups windows keep coming

POP-UPS!!!!

I am connected to internet thru ADSL. using XP pro on my
PC. Every now and then pop-ups come, which are usually some
kind of advertisement about some New Offer or Get US Visa
etc etc... How can I get rid of them without downloading
any anti pop-up s/w? Help me please....
 
You probably won't. There are any number of third-party pop-up blockers,
and some included as a component of another tool (MSN, Google, et.al.) but
there is no way to block pop-ups without software to do it.
