pop up

i keep getting a pop up from windows-it seems,
saying "system tray applet extension" then it goes on to
say it has encountered a problem and needs to close.
please tell microsoft about this problem, then it gives
you the option to send or don't send. WHAT THE HECK IS
THIS???

Anything that loads into the Notification Area will be listed here:
Start/Run/Msconfig/Startup. Uncheck the program (?) in question by reading
into the names or use the process of elimination. Once found or either, the
runkey would be listed here and can be deleted as well: Start/Run/Regedit

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

To cleanup Msconfig/Startup of unchecked items:

Clear Disabled Items from Msconfig Startup (Line 148)
