pop up windows blocked

got a message "pop-up windows blocked" at the bottom left
of the window, when trying to open a page from a school's
web site, which had worked until yesterday.
 
Ramesh,

I'm not aware of that, although something wacky was
downloaded incidentally, and was deleted manually from
control panel by me right after that. I notice it
stopped working after that. Could it have incidentally
enabled the pop-ups blocker? if so, how would i disable
it?

Also, I just noticed that when I tried to reply messages
from my school's outlook mailbox through IE, it did not
allow me to do so either.

Do you think there is any correlation to those problems?

Are you using any pop-ups blockers? or disabled active scripting for that site?

Please check if there are the pop-ups killer is loaded as a Internet Explorer plugin.

Using ToolbarCop to remove the unwanted Toolband, Toolbar Icons and BHO:
