Can anyone tell me why I get a message when trying to open a word document.
The message states "The command cannot be performed because a dialog box is
open. Click OK, and then close open dialog boxes to continue." I click ok
and the document will open. I don't recieve this message when opening a
blank worksheet. I am operating Word 2003 on windows XP.
Any ideas what is going on?

If you use Symantec/Norton AntiVirus, try disabling the Office Plugin
that comes with it (but do not disable Norton AutoProtect). See
