I have something in my comp, and Adaware and Spybot S&D
aren't picking it up. >.<

Whenever I start it up, I get pop ups, then every so
often, one loads when I navigate to a new page. Anyone
know what it is? I trolled add/remove programs, and found
nothing.

One thing is I recently installed some Comcast stuff on
my comp (against my will, otherwise the net wouldn't
work) and it's been happening since that was installed.

Could be Microsoft messenger service. Not the MSN messenger with friends
etc.

Look in your services and see if you have Microsoft messenger enabled, then
disable it.

Did you use the update functions in Ad-Aware and Spybot S & D?

These are simply pop-under/over pages and unless you install a pop-up
blocker or disable assorted functions in IE it will continue to happen. Here
is a article I post on a regular basis:

There are 3 potential sources of pop-ups. Messenger pop-ups are one, the
other is spyware and the last would be web-based pop-ups. Here are some
links to help with each.

Messenger pop-ups:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;en-us;330904
http://www.stopmessengerspam.com/ (don't bother downloading the software
just read the appropriate section for your operating system)

Spyware:

I use Ad-Aware http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download/

Browser web pop-ups. These are windows that pop-up or under your browser
window while surfing.

I can recommend Free Surfer mk II (works with IE):

Also Google Toolbar has a pop-up stopper:

I am currently using Avant Browser which is a shell for IE and offers a
built in pop-up stopper and a LOT more:
