Pop up info boxes

Bub

My computer just did an auto update on me that I didn't realize it was going
to do. It did it as I shut it down this AM.
Now I have all these very annoying info help boxes that pop up everytime I
point the cursor at anything. I knew how to turn these demons off in
previous Windows versions but not XP. Any help?
Thanks,
Bob

Bob,

Open Windows Explorer and select Tools, Folder Options, View. Scroll to the
bottom of the Advanced settings list, and uncheck Show pop-up description
for folder and desktop items. Click OK.
