Pop up ad

I am using Win2000, and lately I started getting numerous
pop-up ads. Please help, somebody, to block pop-up ads on
my system. Would appreciate it.

Google has a free toolbar that you can download which
helps blocks popups; won't catch everything, but helps
reduce the amount tremendously; also, clear out your
temporary cookies & files; trying downloading "ad-aware"
software & run it about once a week; clears out all the
dataminers that get populated on your pc
