pop server settings

i woke up last friday and suddenly couldn't download my t-online mail into
outlook using the saved settings in my outlook. i suddenly got the "enter
network password" dialogue box. each time i entered my password, it would pop
back up.

i have not messed with the settings and i have confirmed pop.t-online.de as
the incomding server and smtprelay.t-online.de as the outgoing server. the
password adn user name are also correct.

what's really strange is that some t-online messages have indeed made it
through -but not all. i'm baffled! please help!
