Hi There
This is my first post.
Using XP Home with SP2 & Outlook Express 6 - with a Broadband Connection
(Wanadoo) Got McAfee Internet security and have Windows Firewall Dis-Abled as
recommedned by McAfee
Getting problems downloading E-mails from My ISP . The pop3 Account for
incoming mail should read pop.freeserve.com and when I enter this all is
fine. Later I try to download e-mails but no good. Check this pop address and
find it has been replaced by 127.0.0.1. Re-Enter the pop address and my
emails are downloaded. Strangely sometimes I look at the pop address after a
download and there it is again - 127.0.0.1 Sooo it would appear that
sometimes this port address is o/k to use and sometimes not. What is causing
this address to be over-written and how can I stop it?? Wanadoo are no help
Suggested I re-insatll outlook express - " I don't fink so!!!"
Your Help would be appreciated
Regards
Arf
