I have an office with 10 users who dial-up to my server in my main office.
Each of my users in my branch office is configured to access outlook using
pop3. The problem I have is my POP3 address automatically changes from
"exchange.server.com" to "localhost" when attempting to send/receive from the
exchange server. This only happens when the network is slow or intermitence.

Can anybody help me...i am going nuts here.

This is not Outlook's doing - it's most likely the locally installed
antivirus software. Either disable mail scanning or contact the AV
software's tech support to find out whether they have a newer version that
handles mail scanning better.

Hi Lanwench - I have a similar problem, but am unable to create a new
question in the NEWSGROUP -- When I try I get message “Pop-up window was
blockedâ€.
My IE pop-up blocker is set OFF
My NAV pop-up blocker is set OFF
What else can I do??

Any idea to solve this problem??

My reason for contacting the NEWSGROUP was for an Outlook Express POP3 issue.
I configured the POP3 to my mail address and it works fine. I log off and
when log on again and the POP3 address is changed to a web 999.999.999.999
address.
Why?? Is this an AV problem again??

Can you help please

It's your antivirus or antispam software or some add-in....not Outlook.
With regard to the popup - do you have any third-party toolbars such as
Yahoo, MSN, AOL, etc? A lot of them have popup blockers, too. That said,
using the web interface to the newsgroups is pretty clunky, and you may want
to try using a newsreader like Outlook Express or Forte Agent, etc.,
instead. It's a lot easier to do nearly everything that way, including
searching, which is always a good idea to do before you post, as well as
mark messages to be watched, and filter based on replies to your posts.

The Microsoft public news server is msnews.microsoft.com and you can
subscribe to as many groups as you like.

Can you help please

Hope I have!
