Pop 3 server keeps resetting to defaults

My mother's yahoo account was recently changed to ATT. We have to reinput
the pop server name and port every time we restart the computer. In
reviewing posts to this group, we noticed that the problem seemed to be in
the anti-virus software. Those settings have been corrected and we are still
getting the problem. It resets to 127.0.0.1 and port 110. How do we get
Outlook Express to retain the settings we are given it and McAfee is giving
it?

Try posting this in an Outlook Express news group - this is not one of them.
Outlook is a part of Microsoft Office and is what this group supports.
Outlook Express is a part of Internet Explorer and has its own news groups.

You can also find some good Outlook Express information here:

This newsgroup is for Office Outlook not for Outlook Express. Might want to repost this to an Outlook Express newsgroup like microsoft.public.outlookexpress.general.

Meanwhile do the following .
Disable your email integration from MacAfee. Better still remove MacAfee from your computer and install something like AVG or Avast free without the email integration.

Uninstall your antivirus program and reinstall it without the mail scanning
feature. That's what's cauing your problem.
