pop 3 help for Mike

Hi,

Just bought new computor, went from XP to Vista. Coppied all my
e-mail addresses from outlook express into Windows mail and made it my defalt
e-mail. Now every time I go to Windows mail I get a The host POP3 could not
be found, Account: POP3, Server: POP3, Protocol: POP3 Port 110Secure(SSL) No
socket error 11001, Error # 0x800ccc0d.

I am reciving my e-mails through charter mail so it is not modem or
connection.

You need to configure Windows Mail with the correct server names that
Charter uses.
"Pop3" is not a valid server name.

Go to your old computer and open OE. Go to Tools | Accounts and export each
of your accounts as IAF files.
In Vista, open WinMail and delete all of those accounts (the error message
you quote has a wrong server name). Then import from the IAF files.
