POP 3 access

Greetings,

I'm using Outlook 2003 as my mail client on my laptop. I'm having an issue
where the Outlook client changes the name of the POP3 server name. When I
check my mail, I get an error message indicating that the client couldn't log
in to the POP server.

If I edit the account settings, I notice that in the field where the POP3
server name should be, the name has been changed to "localhost". In the
field with my username, the POP3 server name has been added to the end of the
user name. i.e. username@domain/pop3servername.

If I change the information in the username field and the POP server field
and check mail, the client works correctly and downloads my mail. However,
if shut down the client and go back perhaps 2 hours later and check mail
again, the POP server name and username fields are changed again.

My system is configured as follows: I have a laptop and a destop computer,
both have Zonealarm firewalls installed. I have a wireless router (Linksys)
that has a hardwire connection to the desktop and wireless connection to the
laptop. The router also serves as a firewall.

Any ideas what's causing this? I've used the software/hardware combination
of firewalls without any other than this one issue. Could one of the
firewalls be creating this issue?

Thanks!!
