Poltergeist PC

After using my PC, I log off and turn the computer off
using the 'switch off' symbol on the screen. It then
tells me that windows is shutting down and I turn my
monitor off. Occasionally, for no reason at all, the
computer turns itself on again. At first I thought I had
put it on stand-by by accident, but I definitely
haven't. Has anyone got any ideas of how to prevent this
from happening please? Thanks.

Have you tried disabling the PCs' "Wake-on-LAN" and/or
"Wake-on-Ring" features in the BIOS?

Sounds like a bad power switch. Wouldn't be the first time.
