pointer visible powerpoint

I would to keep the pointer visible in powerpoint presentations at all times.
Is it possible to make this setting default (and not to change into kiosk
mode)?

Sadly it isn't possible to set as a default (except as you mentioned in kiosk
mode) However at the start of any show if you press ctrl + A it will then
stay visible for the whole show.
