Hiding or disabling pointer

Is there any way to disable or hide the mouse pointer, or at least change
the color of the pointer?

I am running Powerpoint 2000 (I know, I'm sorry, there's nothing I can do
about it) and the presentation is set as a kiosk presentation. I just need
to kill the pointer for one slide and limit it to keyboard control.

Kenny,
If browsed at a kiosk all keyboard activity is suppressed. So I do not think
you can hide your pointer. Usually you can use Ctrl+H to hide the pointer,
ctrl+A to see it again during a slide show.
