Whenever I shutdown my Windows XP Professional on my laptop I get an error
message box that says the PNRP Window is terminating. I know that this has
something to do with DNS but can't figure out why this is happening every
time - even if I turn on the laptop and then immediately shut it down. This
is not causing me any apparent problems but it is annoying.

Thanks

PNRP could be "Peer Name Resolution Protocol" or "Palm Name Recognitiion
Protocol" (Palmpilot communication with desktop protocol.) If you don't
have palmpilot software installed then your error message is probably
refering to Peer-to-Peer networking. If you don't use P-P go to "Add/Remove
Programs->Add/Remove Windows Components->Network Services" and uncheck
"Peer-to-Peer Networking
