Plug & Play Not Responding

I am running XP with plenty of free memory space on the
hard drive. I previously plugged my Olympus Digital
camera and an SCM Microsystems Smart Media Card Dazzle
Zio Card Reader into both the front and rear USB ports.
They worked a few times and now nothing!!I have tried
rebooting, connecting the USB cables to the camera and
reader while the computer was completely shut down and
then turned on. Nothing seems to activate either the
camera or reader. The reader active light flashes for a
split second when I plug the reader into the USB cable,
so I know there is at least momentary connectivity. Seems
like a software glitch or some setting needs to be reset.
Any help with this problem would be great;y appreciated.

try this site, look up fix for plug and play, and or auto-
run.If that don't fix it you may have to go into the
bios,by pumping the F1 key at startup and select yes on
the plug/play option, and save changes.(I'm sure Kelly has
a fix for plug/play in there, just don't have the time to
look,wife,nag nag nag nag,wal mart,lets go.) Good Luck.If
that don't work, post a reply and I'll think up some more
locations for a fix.
