Someone else had that problem. When I checked on my WMP11, it said it
could not play a .pls file. I don't know what the situation was in
earlier versions of the WMP. For the problem station I tested, there
was a link to click on to go to the station. If you right clicked on
this link and checked properties, you could get the url of the .pls
media file. Then you could copy this, open the most recent Real player
and paste the link into it in the box that allows you to enter a url
under the file selections. Real now plays most of the Microsoft media
formats as well as those of Real and some others, and it can handle
..pls and .m3u playlist. It may not be able to handle Microsoft .wax and
..wvx playlists, but I have not checked the most recent version of Real
for this. You might also check out Winamp to see if it works with the
..pls play list on a streamin radio feed.
