"Please insert disk into drive X" error - wtf?

Hi all,

I've been having an annoying problem with my new NEC DVD Drive. First
the basics:

AMD 2400 running Win2K
1st IDE - 75GB WD as master (C,D,E,F), 2000GB WD as slave (G,H,I,J)
2nd IDE - NEC ND-3500A as master (X), Plextor 12/10/32A as slave (Y)

Installation went fine. My software(s) can find the drive and
everything is kosher in Device Manager. I burned my first DVD with
Nero and ejected the disk. After I reinserted it, Windows Explorer
gives me the "Please insert disk into drive X" error. The drive does
spin up at first, so it's looking in the right place. It just can't
find anything when it gets there. A reboot does solve the problem, but
it is kind of a pain to have to reboot every time I put a new disk in
the drive just to read it. Any ideas?

TIA

Probably that 2000 gigabit drive slowing you down

Oops. I meant 200GB. The model # is WD2000JB. Was thinking of one
while typing the other :)
