I need some help...I am having problems with my CD ROM. When I put a disk
into the drive the disk spins up, the pointer with the disk next to it shows
up, but nothing happens. If I hit explore on the d: drive, it says that
there is no disk in drive. BIOS and device manager both recognize the drive.
I have also tried swapping the drive for one that I know works and I still
get the same response. I also uninstalled all the programs I recently
installed before I was having this problem and it didn't help. I don't know
if this has any thing to do with this problem or not, but my computer also
displays an A: floppy drive which my computer does not have. Any help would
be appreciated...

That didn't work. It happens with every disk I put in and I even tried
swapping drives for a new one...

Just a player...I read somewhere that this may have been caused by Ontrack
software...Any truth? I am running Windows XP Home Edition SP2.
