Hey everyone.....I hope someone can help me because my Gateway XP homis about
to be thrown out a window :(
Let me give you just a little run down of the situation. Last night when I
got on my windows XP, immediately I received about 8 Virus warning messages
about have, yes files infected with the TROJ. Of course I tried to delete
them.....did the process that was descibed to me, rebooted my comp and it was
running REALLY slow.....virus messages popped up again. My CPU usage was at
98 - 100 percent. I immediately began (TRYING) to shut down the comp. It
wasnt having it. Then an alarm sounded and the comp turned off. I tried to
turn it on and now all I am getting is about 2-3 seconds of it trying to
boot, with a faint alarm sound and then immediately OFF.
Does anyone have any help for me, suggestions.....something.....give me
a little hope PLEASE. Thanks so much for stopping by and I am praying for
the miracle!!!

You're not gonna like the answer
Most anti virus programs ask you to make a bootable floppy that is used to
boot from and run the anti virus program under situations like
this................did you?? if yes run it!!
If not..............reinstall XP wiping the HD in the process

good luck

It's so much easier to suggest solutions when you don't know too much about
the problem

If you want your OS back, if you know how..remove your HD from the pc and
install it as a secondary drive in a pc that works with a properly installed
and updated antivirus program. Even then you may still have issues getting
your OS back once the viruses have been removed. Take it to a local pc
repair shop if you dont feel comfortable doing this. If the "faint alarm"
sounds your hearing are BIOS beep codes at startup, you may have more
serious issues. Your only choice then is a trip to the shop.

Try to find the path of the virus, then restart your computer, press F8
to safe mode, delete the files of virus, and delete their startup
programs. If you don't know the path of the virus and the startup
programs, you can use Security Expert,it can help you.
