Please Help

Ok I have a question.I know it's not a Win98 support area.
But I can't get any Win98 news gr. so I am psting here.

I have a friend that is having major problems. She can
not get into chat in Msn groups, she can not download
anything on her computer, her mouse is not working
properly, the scroll on it does not work right. She is
running Windows 98. She tried to do a virus scan on her
computer but it would not let her. She sent me a file
from her computer and when I opened it my virus scans
things in my email and it said that there was no virus
detected. What could all of this be. She does not have
any restore disk for her pc.

Any suggestions are appreciated

No Win 98 CD in recovery form or any other and a system so screwed that
almost nothing works?..

Your friend needs an Win 98/SE operating system CD, a Win 98 start-up
diskette, a firewall program, an anti-virus program, and some ability to
completely start over..
