I used to have a icon on my task bar that looked like a orange speaker facing
to the right. It would pop up.?
And you could adjust it to pop, rock, jazz and you could adjust the equalizer
yourself. It came with Windows Media Center XP.You could also change the tones
so it would sound like an arena, bathroom, under
water,alley,underground,hallway,living room,city and auditorium.It's not
there anymore and I was wondering if anyone knows what this program is and
how I can get it back.I accidentally must have deleted it.Thanks for all your
help!

The icon is from the software that came with your audio drivers. From the
description, it may be from the Realtek HD Audio Manager Control Panel.

Click Start> All Programs, and see if you find an entry for Sound Manager, or any
Realtek Sound Manager, or any Realtek items. You can also look in Control Panel for
a Realtek Audio Manager icon.

If found, there should be an option to turn on the icon in the taskbar. I don't
have a Realtek audio system, but I read that you can turn on that icon if you open
Sound Manager, click on the "i" button in the bottom right corner, and un-dot
(unblue) the "Display icon...." button.

If you cannot find the Sound Manager anywhere, it may have gotten uninstalled.

Does Device Manager list Realtek audio devices under "Sound, Video and Game
Controllers"?

To open Device Manager, press and hold the Windows key on the keyboard (Win key) and
press the Pause/Break key, then release the Win key. Click the Hardware tab, then
the Device Manager button. Click the + sign next to Sound,Video and Game
Controllers to expand it.
