You need to tell Windows what program is is your default email client.
It it should be Outlook Express, see in OE Menu: Tools/Options Tab:
General, bottom of screen.

Read more about this on your own computer by searching Help for the
words "default email".

If you are using AOL forget it, you can only send e-mail
through AOL client.

If you click on an email link while browsing with your IE
(Internet Explorer, not the AOL embedded IE compliant
browser) and you do not have a regular POP3 account with
a "normal" ISP which would have provided you with
information to setup email clients including Outlook, you
cannot just click any email link.

When you need to send email while using IE you need to
right click the email link and paste it on AOL's mail
client. You've Got Mail!

While I do agree that AOL Mail has it's limitations(which I AM willing to live
with for reasons which I can't go into here), your information is most
assuredly not true. If you make AOL your default email client, you CAN click on
an email link and it will automatically bring up an AOL email window. I do it
all the time with no problem. There is no need for the "right-click, paste" tap
dance you suggest.

Cheers,

John

I use Pegusus to send/receive email via my primary dialup. I minimize
AOL and can FTP, do POP email, etc. no problem.
