I uninstalled a number of programs recently as tehy had adware (ID'd by
cleansweep/norton). It seems that at startup, win xp is looking for a file
called main, and I get a "WJView error" every time I startup. Everything
else is fine.

How do I tell win xp to stop looking for the file, or should I reinstall
the stuff (if possible).

Thank you ,

look for the utility name Msconfig

you can use this to 'switch off' many unwanted startup
progs
