Please Help with e-mail backup

I am trying to restore e-mails back into outlook express.
The catch is that I only copied "inbox.dbx" onto a cd and
now it seems that I cannot copy it back into outlook
express on a new pc.

CAN ANYONE HELP?
 
Copy the file from the CD to your hardisk before trying to
restore as the file on CD's are read only.
