Please Help! System Restore doesn't work

I can't open System Restore anymore. The error message
says: rstrui.exe - Entry Point Not Found. The procedure
entry point RemoteAssistancePrepareSystemRestore could
not be located in the dynamic link library WINSTA.dll.
This is one the many popup windows I get since this
morning.
Please someone, tell me how to solve the problem.
I installed and ran Ad-Aware SE Personal but apparently
it didnt' work too well.
