PLEASE HELP!!!! Problem logging into site

I am having a problem with any site that requires me to
enter my username and password. Every time I click on
member login, or sign in, page comes up "Page cannot be
displayed"
I have tried everything I can think of, and even got rid
of spyware, etc... nothing seems to work!!! HELP!!
PLEASE!! Below is url that shows when page says it
cannot be displayed.

res://C:\WINDOWS\System32
\shdoclc.dll/dnserror.htm#https:// (followed by the
website name and miscellaneous numbers)
 
Try temporilary turning off your firewall, especially
Norton and then try logging in. If that works, add the
site to the firewall.
 
No, that didn't work. In addition to Page Cannot be
displayed, it says on very top...Cannot find server! I
have no clue what that's about. I can browse the
internet and open sites, just won't allow me to log into
them.
