Please Help: Privacy issue in WinXP/IE history

Hi,

I am using Windows XP with internet explorer. I used the yahoo search
engine and found that there is a "history" apparently kept by the search
engine that I cannot remove via IE (Internet Options - clear history or
delete cookies does not help).

Apparently this does not happen with Windows2000.

Does anyone know how the history is stored and how can it be cleared?
Thanks.

Do some research on the internet. There are some registry changes you can make to stop this tracking. There are also programs like SpyBot Search and Destroy that will allow you to clean out the search history. You could buy a program like Window Cleaner but you really don't need to spend your money just do some research and you will find the registry changes you need to make. Good luck

Thanks for the tips. How I do start with my own research? Any pointers
greatly appreciated.
Also, are free software to clean up links safe?

Regards,
Patrick
