Please help me!!!!

When I download the service pack it gets about a tenth of
the way through stops and says it has installed please
retart your computer as if it has installed, i then go to
the update page and it says i need to install it.
Also symnatec antivirus does a similar thing when i try
and install it it gets an eighth of the way through and
dissapears and says its installed and restart then when i
load it it loads for a second then dissapears again.
