Chris Phillips

I have a network with 5 subnets, each of which is in a
different geographical location...all connected via VPN.
I am getting MrxSmb 8003 errors but only on three of the
servers. The error occurs approx. hourly and typically
the server listed in the error as causing the election is
one that never gets this error. I have looked at blocking
UDP ports but there are servers without these ports
blocked that do not have errors. Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance,
Chris

I have seen this when one systems has the wrong subnet
mask. i.e. 255.255.255.0 on all except for the one
problem child with 255.255.0.0
