Hi,
I recently bought a brand new system. I have also
installed Windows XP Professional (with SP1) on it. These
are the problems that I am facing and am trying to solve
them...Please help....
1) I have a logitech cordless optical PS/2 mouse and
cordless PS/2 keyboard. On system start-up, my keyboard
works fine, but my mouse doesn't work. I have installed
all the relevant drivers but my mouse doesn't work. In
order to make it work, I need to actually plug out the
mouse wire from the PS/2 port and plug it in again. The
mouse then starts working. Any idea why this happens?
2) I connect to the internet and XP just freezes while I'm
browsing.
3) I use dial-up networking to connect to my ISP. Now in
the process of connecting to the internet, XP hangs again.
4) My machine just reboots sometimes while browsing the
internet. Referring to point 1, the system also just
reboots sometimes when I plug out and plug in the mouse
cord in order to make the mouse work.
5) Auto-downloader asks me if I want to upgrade the MSN
Messenger since an upgrade is available. If I say "Yes",
the system hangs in the process of downloading.
