Hi. Our linux dns box recently stopped working so I decided to move responsibilities to a Windows
Advanced Server 2000 machine. I'm not running Active Directory on it and am only running the DNS.

I'm using the DNS as a name server and as a dns server for client machines in the office to surf the
internet (we have the box connected to the T1 for the gateway)

My problem is that sometimes the DNS will work in a way that machines on the ineternet get to the proper
site and other times it doesn't do anything at all for them. There are two IP addresses on this machine
and t's set to listen to all. Why would this work properly sometimes and not others? Also, theres no
problems with office client machines accessing the internet at any times.

Please help.

I decided to switch back to Linux. Its much easier the way things were. Why does Windows 2000 server
platforms work intermitently? This is obviously not acceptable. Guess I learned my lesson.
