I posted below before, but I really need some help. I did this to my work
computer and I can't get into windows to do anything... I apologize for the
redundancy. Here is what I posted previously:
I recently did a virus scan. As there was one virus file that Norton wasn't
able to delete, I followed their instructions which told me to go to msconfig
and in the boot.ini tab check off the /safeboot checkbox. I restarted the
computer, and it booted to safemode.
However this is where the problem is. I am unable to log on in safe mode,
even though my username has administrative rights. Windows XP pro keeps
rejecting my username/password combo. I tried to log on as "administrator"
and with no
password and every other password that I could think of, but safe mode
windows will not allow me to log on.
Does anyone know how to get Windows to boot to Normal mode again from
outside of windows??? Because of the Boot.ini... /safeboot that I checked
off, I can't get windows to boot normally.
Thanks in advance!
