My Learned Friends,
I have just carried out a clean install of windows XP because of a problem
that, to make a long story short, could not be solved any other way.
Now I have some problems / questions
Question 1.
I am now in the process of reinstalling all of my software. I reinstalled
and ran my AOL software. I am now getting numerous error messages that, while
different, say essentally the same thing which is:
Messenger Services
Message from SYSTEM to ALERT on 10/12/2006 3:02: 11PM
Registery clearner reccommended
To fix system errors please do the following...
1 Download and install Registry clearner from www.msreg.com
....run it and restart.
the above is the basic body of these messages. Are they valid? If not how
can I get rid of them.
Question 2
As I mentioned, I am now reinstalling after a clean install of XP Home. I
have reinstalled Windows Media Player. When viewing video Media, previously,
double clicking the screen would increase the screen size to full screen. Now
nothing happens when I double click. How can I resolve this?
Question 3
Windows Media Player is quite sluggish when playing, for example, a DVD.
This was not the case before the clean install (plase note that the clean
install was done yesterday). I was thinking this might have something to do
with the graphics card. My question is, do i need to reinstall the drivers
for the graphics card?
Please advise on the three questions.
Thanking you in advance
Yours,
Joe
