Please, for the love of GOD, help me!!!

I just installed windows xp-pro. It worked fine at first, but when I
restarted for first time, I got the error message "disk boot
failure, insert system disc". I only the installation disc and
not the recovery disc. This message is all I get every time I try to
start my computer. For the love of god, please help me fix this!!!!

Was there a cd in the drive when you got the Disk Boot Failure or did it do that from the hard drive boot?

1) try checking your cmos/bios to ensure that your hd is listed and to
ensure your cdrom is the boot drive, then

2) try reinstalling your winxp. It should give you a repair option.

I think that it may be just a matter of fixing your boot.... There are some
specific steps for this, but see if your symptoms are alleviated with the
methods I suggested first.....
