Please Explain This

Could someone please explain this because I'm really
confused. When MS bought this program from Giant it was a
final product. I knew they would make some changes like
changing the name. But after reading all these bug
reports it looks like MS took a final product and broke
it. Was this program buggy when Giant had it? I thank MS
for addressing the spyware problem and hope they fix all
these bugs in Beta 2.

They are adding additional detection stuff to make it even more superior
than what was being developed by GIANT, with intelligent approach to
anti-spam that combines [traditional anti-spam] rules with heuristics.

I don't think we know enough to answer this question. Microsoft made
significant changes--branding and UI changes and more--to the existing Giant
product before the beta was released. They released the beta only 3 weeks
after acquiring Giant's technology.

So my guess is there's some mix--some problems introduced by the speedy
changes to the original product, and some issues in the original product
made more visible by the public widespread test.

It really doesn't matter--what matters is that we get the bugs out of the
final released version--so when we see a beta2 version, I hope we hear loud
and clear from folks whose favorite bug isn't fixed.
