I've got a second hand IBM Thinkpad 600 running on windows 98.
I've put in office premium as my main programme

I won't connect to the internet nor play games on my laptop.Just use -
mainly Word , or the occassional Spreadsheet for college.

I know windows XP - sound a lot better than windows 98 but

1. Will I be missing anything with just windows 98??

2. Is it worth doing the hassle - converting to windows XP??

3. Can I do anything on Word ( mainly ) and still transfer my files to
my other computer - which runs XP???

I am not that computer literate - so - a little advise would put my
mind at rest- and maybe just be contended with windows 98

Thanks

I would suggest staying with your current Windows 98 installation
since you are using your computer on a limited basis.
