Playing .wmv movie in powerpoint xp

I created a .wmv movie with MovieMaker 5.1 and inserted it into Powerpoint
2003. Works just fine. When I tried to insert it in PowerpointXP, it will only
insert and play the audio.

I tried it on two other computers with Powerpoint 2003. One would insert it
fine the other would only play the audio (but this machine will play the
example .wmv file that came with XP just fine.) All computers were running
Windows XP.

Is this a driver or codec problem, or what? Please help.

Do all computers have the same version of Windows Media Player installed and
the same version of DirectX? If not, that could account for the
differences.

Thanks Sonia for your suggestions. I have tried them. I have updated my
directx to the latest version. I have installed the nemo codec pack that
Austin recommended in his video tutorial. Now when I try to insert a .wmv
file, PPT crashes and quits responding. Before it would play the audio but not
the video. I did rerender my .wmv as a .avi and rename it a .mpg and that
worked although the video was jittery. I read this on some site as a work
around. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Could the 120 character address
length be the problem?
