Playing videos in a WMP embedded object

Can anyone tell me how to set up a slide with text hyperlinks to videos that
open in a WMP object on the same page? I would like the user to be able to
control stopping, starting and volume in the player interface rather than
creating controls in the custom animation box.

Use Insert > Object From File and then select the video you wish to play.
When the user clicks on it the associated player will play the video. For
wmv file this is the Windows Media Player by default.

If you want finer control you will need to get your hand dirty with some VBA
coding.
