I want to make a powerpoint presentation that allows me to play video that
has been captured of baseball players pitching or hitting. If I insert the
video, i want the athlete to be able to control the video, especially play it
in slow motion and pause it at specific points.

Is there a program that I should be using for that video that will allow the
athlete to have total control over the video when it is inserted into a
slide? Windows media player doesn't have the slow motion and frame by frame
capabilities.

Any suggestions?

PowerPoint has nothing like this natively, however if you are handy with VBA
you could write a macro to do it if it's that important to you.
