Playing DVD on TV

Made a slide show with movie maker and then put into Nero to create a DVD to
play on TV. Works fine in the computer, but not in the DVD player for the
TV. BUT when I copy the very same DVD using the Sonic program that came with
my computer, it works just fine in the DVD player on the TV. How can I make
Nero burn a DVD that is read by my DVD player and not just by my computer?
Don't want to always have to burn two DVD's everytime I make a project.
